Cardi B was announced as the headline performer for the Spring Break Take Over Hip Hop concert scheduled for March 10th at the PP&L center. But just a few hours later, it was announced she had backed out of the event. The reason behind her decision was the booking agency that originally booked her for the event was authorized to do so. By the time the promoter got in touch with Cardi’s representatives it was too late, she was scheduled to perform at the iHeart Radio Music Awards at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on March 11, the day after she would have performed in Allentown.
In light of the news, fans who purchased tickets the day of her announcement were offered a full refund at point of sale. The concert which still has a solid line up includes Albee Al, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, PNB Rock, and Hip Hop superstar Fabolous. Tickets start at $40 and can go upto $200+, which is average for a venue the size of the PPL Center. The arena can hold approximately 8,000+ people. The event is all ages and is a first of it’s kind as this will be the first Hip Hop event in the new Arena. Showtime starts at 8pm this Saturday. With a sudden change in the line up, will you still be attending?
